HOW DOES ZET UNIVERSE WORK?
In Zet Universe, everything is built around a simple information workflow philosophy:

1. GATHER
Copy and paste files from Windows Explorer or Outlook, pin web pages, capture photos with a web cam - gather everything you have about the project inside Zet Universe.
1.1. COPY & PASTE FILES
1.a. Select and copy documents in Windows Explorer
1.b. ...or from Outlook
|
2. Right-click in Zet Universe and click on "Paste"
|
3. Done!

1.2. REMEMBER FILES USING INLINE MENU
1. Right-click in Zet Universe, click on "Remember File(s)"
|
2. In the dialog, choose the file(s) to add to your current visual cluster
|
3. Zet Universe will copy selected file(s) to its storage... and you are done!
|
1.3. PIN WEB PAGES
1. Copy web page address
|
2. Right-click in Zet Universe, click on "Pin Web Page"
|
3. Paste web page address
|
4. Zet Universe will start downloading it
|
5. Done!
|
1.4. CAPTURE PHOTOS WITH WEB CAM
1. Right-click in Zet Universe, click on "Capture Photo"
|
2. Position camera on object and click on "Capture" *
* If your computer has more than one camera (e.g., front and rear), you'll have a button left to "Cancel" to switch between cameras.

3. Rename captured photo... and you are done!

1.5. CREATE NEW DOCUMENTS INSIDE ZET UNIVERSE
1. Right-click in Zet Universe, click on "Create New", then, e.g., "Word Document"
|
2. A new Word Document will be created, and Word will be automatically launched for you to start editing it
|
3. The document is put exactly where you wanted it to be in your current visual cluster. You are done!
|
2. ORGANIZE
Group your project-related information into the beautiful clusters. Start with giving them names, and use familiar cut-n-paste functionality to move those clusters around. Pin favorite locations (we call them "contexts") on the infinite space to get back to them faster later.
2.1. DEFINE NAMES OF VISUAL CLUSTERS
1. Right-click in Zet Universe and click on "Define Topic"

2. Type the desired cluster's name
|
3. Move things around to make cluster look as you like it to be
|
2.2. CUT-N-PASTE VISUAL CLUSTERS TO MOVE THEM AROUND
1. Right-click in Zet Universe and click on "Select"
|
2. Use your mouse, finger, or pen to draw a lasso around things you want to cut
|
3. Select "Cut" in the opened menu
|
4. Move onto new empty space, right-click and click on "Paste"
|
5. Done!
|
2.3. PIN FAVORITE "CONTEXTS"
1. Right-click in Zet Universe and click on "Pin Current Context"
|
2. Current location ("context") is now added to the "Pinned Contexts" list. It will get the name of the visual cluster that is is the closest to the screen center. You can rename it if you wish - just click on it's name and type the new one. You are done!

2.4. LINK RELATED THINGS TOGETHER (ON THE SAME SCREEN)
1. Simply select and drag first screen over another
|
2. If needed, type the description, click on "Link"... and you are done!
|
2.5. LINK RELATED THINGS TOGETHER (FAR FROM EACH OTHER)
1. Right-click on the first thing and click on "Copy"
|
2. Move to another visual cluster
|
3. Right-click on the second thing and click on "Link with Thing in Clipboard"
|
4. If needed, type the description, click on "Link", click on "back" button if you want to return to first cluster... and you are done!

2.6. ADD STAR TO IMPORTANT THINGS
1. Right-click on the thing that it is important for you, click on "See Tags or Add Comments" and click on "Add Star"
|
2. A small blue star sticker will be added to left top corner of the thing... and you are done!
|
2.7. ADD COMMENTS TO THINGS
1. Right-click on the thing you want to comment on, click on "See Tags or Add Comments" and click on "Comment"
|
2. Add your comment to the comment text box, hit "Enter"... and you are done!

3. FIND
Zet Universe excels at helping you to find what you are looking for.
Recall the visual cluster you are looking for by zooming and panning, or by using the Minimap, or by using the "Pinned Contexts" area, or just use the Google-like full-text search across all of your data.
You can also use the advantage of the powerful semantic search built into Zet Universe which allows you to find similar documents based on their contents, as well as use the links you've created between things to traverse between them.
Finally, an awesome way to get back to your stuff is to use the "Total Recall" view which enables you to see your visual clusters in the time perspective.

3.1. ZOOM-N-PAN AROUND
1. Zoom out using your touchpad or touchscreen

2. Pan around
|
3. Zoom in... and you are done!

3.2. PAN USING MINIMAP
1. Click on the rectangle with blue borders on the minimap with your touchpad/mouse, or pen
|
2. Drag that rectangle to the desired location on the minimap
|
2.a. If needed, pan again to correct your position on the Infinite Space... and you are done!
|
3.3. RETURN USING "PINNED CONTEXTS"
1. Click on the pinned "context"
|
2. Zet Universe will move you to its location. You are done!
|
3.4. FIND USING FULL-TEXT SEARCH
1. Start typing in the "search box"
|
2. Click on the desired thing, and Zet Universe will move you to its location. You are done!
|
3.5. FIND USING SIMILAR THINGS SEARCH
1. Right-click on the document you want to find similar things to, click "Related", then "Similar"
|
2. Zet Universe will show you a list of similar things (documents, PDF files, web pages, etc.)
|
3. Click on the desired thing, and Zet Universe will move you to its location. You are done!
|
3.6. FIND USING THINGS' TAGS
1. Right-click on the thing you want to use tags from to search
|
2. Click on the desired tag from the tag cloud
|
3. Zet Universe will show you a list of things containing this tag
|
4. Click on the desired thing, and Zet Universe will move you to its location. You are done!
|
3.7. FIND USING LINKS
1. Right-click on the thing you want to find linked things to, click "Related", then "Linked"
|
2. Zet Universe will show you a list of linked things (documents, PDF files, web pages, etc.)
|
3. Click on the desired thing, and Zet Universe will move you to its location. You are done!
|
3.8. FIND USING "TOTAL RECALL" VIEW
1. Click on "Infinite Space" text in the center of the top bar, and click on "Total Recall" view
|
2. Zet Universe will show a special timeline control and an area that tells you at what date & time you are now in Zet Universe
|
3. Drag the timeline with your mouse, touchpad or pen to move back in time
|
4. To move to another date, click on "Go To" button, and choose the date you need on the familiar calendar
|
5. Use the timeline again to scroll to the exact time you need
|
6. And you are done!

3.9. FIND USING "PRIORITY" FILTERING
1. Use the "Priority Filter" slider on the top bar to show only the important ("starred") things... and you are done!

PRIVACY
Zet Universe securely stores all of your visual clusters on your computer, and only you have access to your information.
|
Zet Universe records all of the movements of things you saved inside it. Use the "Total Recall" view to see the changes you made to your visual clusters. *

Zet Universe stores all of your information inside the database and you can back up it and restore if needed. **
